@hiretogs - New Page Manager Announced

As I mentioned in the previous @hiretogs blog post, I was deciding between closing the Hire Togs page and finding new page manager. I was not sure that I would find a page manager, but I have! Tani Dugger of Insight Photography (@insightphotos) will be the new page manager for Hire Togs so the page will remain open.

Tani is a photographer based in Western MA, with a positive attitude and is a pleasant person to interact with on Twitter. She is an avid user of the Hire Togs page and advised me that she likes the page, have interacted with other photographers that she would not have found without the page and booked a photography gig in the past through a retweet on the Hire Togs page. She is one of the positive people that I've interacted with in relation to Hire Togs and one of the reasons I was hesistant to close the page, despite the unfortunate reasons mentioned in the previous related post.

Tani will assume all duties related to the page including retweeting appropriate tweets from photographers and potential clients, doing related search work for the page, saving potential gigs in the Favorites, maintaining the photographer lists by specialty, responding to direct messages and other related duties. Users will still contact the Hire Togs page through @hiretogs so that the correspondence can stay organized. People can still contact me or Tani's personal page if need be, but it is highly preferred that all contact goes through @hiretogs, if it is related to @hiretogs.

Just a reminder...a perfect photographer's tweet should: 1) be sent to @hiretogs so it doesn't get missed 2) include name of company and/or service byline, plus portfolio link 3) contain at least on location hashtag, 4) contain the #hiretogs hashtag 5) optimally be 125 characters or fewer (auto retweet isn't used on this page in case slight editing is needed) and 6)include both text and hashtag...tweets that are all hashtag/links are not recommended.

Example:
@hiretogs 12345 Photography makes weddings memorable. North Carolina. http://bit.ly/12345 #NC #hiretogs

Also, photographers should send DMs to @hiretogs with their specialty areas so that they can be added to the lists.

For now, Hire Togs will remain a Twitter based service. The focus of the page (Clients tweet needs, togs tweet services. Connect!) was to get the hiring process stared in an easy way, so for now it won't expand beyond Twitter but it may in the future. Thanks to those thoughtful individuals who have sent me kind words, appreciation and donations for my creation and work on this project since last November. I believe that Tani will do a great job managing the page.
